Mark E. Levy is CEO and Principle Building Scientist of Levy Building Sciences, LLC. Mr. Levy is a second generation Building Scientist, has been an Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP) for more than 20 years, and has conducted thousands of mold/water damage cause & origin and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations along with a wide range of Environmental, Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and Industrial Hygiene assessments in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Throughout Mr. Levy’s career, Mark has worked for some of the most respected engineering/environmental & forensic consulting firms and industry experts. Mr. Levy has provided expert witness testimony for insurance carriers, construction defects, real estate transaction disclosure issues, and even private parties.
Mark has an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and holds a Council-Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) designation which is one of the industry’s most respected certifications. The CIEC designation is also accredited by the Council of Engineering & Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB) www.cesb.org. Mr. Levy is also a Florida Department of Professional Regulation (myfloridalicense.com) licensed mold assessor MRSA 2160 and has developed & provided professional CEU courses for ACAC designations.
Mark has a passion for building sciences and with the goal of providing a more personalized and cost effective level of service, Mark formed Levy Building Sciences in 2023. Due to our size, overhead, and network of experts & industry professionals, LBS is able to provide a wide range of services at greater value and cost effectiveness, while still offering the same level of credentialing and reporting as most of our larger competitors.
